Rede ACV's bimonthly meeting looks like an end-of-year get-together! On November 28, 2024, we were generously welcomed by Embrapa Meio Ambiente, in Jaguariúna (SP), to discuss LCA & Food: a strategic and cross-cutting focus on various challenges.
Marília Folegatti, a researcher at Embrapa Meio Ambiente, a Deliberative Council member at Rede ACV and coordinator of our Agro Sector approach, gave us a report on what was recently discussed at LCA Food, which took place in Barcelona (ES) at the beginning of September.
Guilherme de Castilho Queiroz, Scientific Researcher at ITAL, shared a study on chocolate, specifically the benefits of labeling in communicating sustainability, the implications of different ways of growing cocoa and the role of companies in engaging consumers.
Carina Lins, Sustainability Specialist at GS1 Brasil, summarized the rich lessons learned from the event promoted by the organization the day before: “Agro em Código - Summit de Rastreabilidade no Agronegócio”.
We had ~50 colleagues in attendance, and those who were able to come to Embrapa and stayed for lunch are pictured (from left to right): Diego Corrêa Magalhães (President of Rede ACV for ArcelorMittal), Nilza Patricia Ramos (Embrapa Meio Ambiente), Juliana Ferreira Picoli (member of Rede ACV's Deliberative Council for FGV), Letícia De Santi Barrantes (ACV Brasil), Sonia Karin Chapman (Executive Secretary of Rede ACV), Michelle Tereza Scachetti (SCS Global Services), Marília Folegatti (Embrapa Meio Ambiente) and Paula Tavares (Rede ACV volunteer).
