SDG

The SDGs WG, created in 2020, has the main objective of inserting SDGs in Rede ACV’s strategy, besides serving as a reference and inspiration for its members to replicate SDG in a strategic way in their organizations.

Another objective is, in partnership with the Life Cycle Initiative (LCI), to verify how LCA is applied to achieve SDG and then use it in the context of SDG.

Premises and main activities

1. Partnership with the Global Compact Brazil Network; in the use of the 5 steps of the SDG Compass Guide, and holding a specific SDG Compass Workshop for LCA Network;

2. Partnership with LCI in the construction of the LCA strategy and implementation of the LCA to achieve the SDG.

Steps and main deliveries following the 5 steps of SDG Compass:

1. Understanding the SDGs

2. Prioritization

• - Value chain mapping to identify impacts (negative and positive);
• - Preparation of the Materiality Matrix.

• - Definition of the scope of the goals;
• - Selection of indicators (KPIs) and method of data collection.

• - Integration of goals into LCA Network strategy and actions.

• - Guidance on reports and communications regarding the progress of Rede ACV with respect to SDG.
